The story of Summerdown Farm’s beginnings sounds like a film script when, over 20 years ago, Sir Michael Colman decided that he wanted to grow the kind of English mint that was around a century ago on his Hampshire farm in a bid to produce the finest premium peppermint oil.

Clearly a perfectionist, each year he sets out to harvest and distil this unique mint in a purpose-built distillery. This oil is actually allowed to mature for two years to develop the aroma and flavour that you’ll come to recognise as a Summerdown mint.

The Chocolate Peppermint Crisps are made using pure English Black Mitcham peppermint and you’ll recognise the difference immediately as they sing on your taste buds. Chocolate and mint has been a classic combination since the 18th century and these peppermint crisps have been traditionally made to taste just as good now as they did back then.
