Translated from Italian as ‘strong bread’ this Panforte Cake is inspired by the traditional Italian cake that was presented to the royal court of Siena in the Middle Ages. Its combination of crunchy nuts and exotic fruits and spices still delights diners today, just as it did all those centuries ago.
